The kitchen is ‘L’ shaped and Ian designed a hob/extractor chimney/mantle feature which takes centre stage on the end wall. The Hembles decided on a beautiful dining table in the kitchen space that might ordinarily have an island.

The rest of the design was about best positions for appliances and making storage options practical, i.e., a corner Lemans pull-out shelves system, internal bin, good use of deep drawers etc.
