This couple had a really solid idea of the sort of style they wanted for their new kitchen, but needed some advice on how to make the most of the space. As is often the case, an island was at the very top of the wish list.
Considering this was their first renovation project, Tom & Danielle were very realistic about what would be possible and how best to maximise their budget. Making some compromises along the way to get the balance right between achieving a beautiful kitchen and keeping the purse strings in check.
Keeping the island purely as a worktop prep space was key, no expensive hobs or extractors required. Also meaning there was a nice big area of worktop to utilise. This came into its own during a recent family birthday buffet!
A gorgeous, neat and simple design can often be the most effective!
