The Sekhon family came into our Warrington showroom to get some ideas and inspiration for their new home. They wanted to have a supporting wall taken out to open-up the space, after speaking with our designer Andy, they decided to initially get drawings for the steelworks that was required. Once this was done, they returned to see Andy and placed an order for their new kitchen.
The Sekhon family immediately loved our Fitzroy display right at the front of the Showroom, they were looking for something timeless, that would not date. The Fitzroy is a style that is neither super modern nor traditional, meaning it will look fantastic for the life of the kitchen. The Porcelain colour was perfect, they wanted to keep the room light but didn’t want the clinical finish of a pure white, nor the more traditional cream.
“Myself and my family can’t thank Fineline Warrington enough for the outstanding service we have received from the minute we walked into the showroom till now, when our dream kitchen has been fitted to perfection! Andy’s knowledge of kitchen design is exceptional and the help and support we received far exceeded our expectations. As first time buyers, our knowledge of kitchen design was limited, however Andy was able to bring our vision to life by listening to our ideas and giving us the best advice and expertise. Moreover, the communication with the team through design, preparation, fitting and aftercare has been outstanding, with regular updates via email/text and being able to ask questions and receive an immediate response no matter how silly or small! I will definitely be recommending Fineline to our friends and family and we hope to do more business with the team in the future! Many thanks to Andy and the team for all their efforts – and for the lovely Orchid that will now sit in our beautiful new kitchen!” Mr & Mrs Sekhon
The project required a supporting wall removing and an RSJ installed. This was completed by a builder that the Sekhon family had employed, but then our installation team carried out the boarding and plastering, full electrical and plumbing/gas work etc. Previously there had been a separate kitchen and dining room, removing the wall opened up the space to be an amazing, large social living space.
The Sekhon family had a good idea on how they wanted the kitchen to work for them. They wanted a light and open space that meant the family could socialise, eat together and cook together. The island was a key feature, that enables their friends and family to come around to share a coffee and a natter whilst preparing a lovely meal.
The family also wanted the utility room to double up as a spice kitchen, this is very traditional in Indian households, the spice kitchen is separate to the main kitchen.
Andy suggested building a dining table to match the kitchen. We did this by building a timber frame, cladding it in material to match the kitchen doors and then using the same worktop – this gives the family a unique dining table that perfectly complements their kitchen.
