Kitchen FAQ’s

Do you offer a free home design service?

We provide a completely free, no obligations design service. One of our designers will visit your home at a convenient time to you, where they can sit down and discuss your kitchen project. Our designer will want to know about your lifestyle and any other relevant information, to ensure that your design is bespoke to you. The home design visit usually takes approximately one hour depending on the size of the room, and how much information you may feel you require.

How far will you travel?

We generally cover the North West of England, however we have travelled as far South as London and as far North as Edinburgh, so please telephone to enquire regarding your requirements.

What is the lead time?

Fineline kitchens are “made to order” to ensure maximum quality, our general lead time is 6 to 8 weeks from the date of order.

How much does one of your kitchens cost?

As every kitchen is different and made to your exact requirements, prices are dependent on a number of factors such as; the size of the kitchen, appliances selected, work surface choice, and the level of building/electrical work required. A typical kitchen of average size would be anything from £10,000 to £20,000+ including work surfaces, appliances and installation.

How do you compare “price wise” with your competitors?

Due to the fact we manufacture our kitchens, we can control costs, therefore we are extremely competitive for the high-quality product we produce.

How do you compare as far as quality with your competitors?

We manufacture our cabinets using high density 18mm MFC in a choice of over 100 finishes, leading edged in 2mm PVC edging and with solid backs. We use Blum hinges and drawers as standard and our cabinets come with a lifetime guarantee.

What brand of electrical appliances do you sell, and are you competitive?

We are a Five Star NEFF Master Partner, the highest accolade Neff award to their partners. Our fully trained staff will advise you on your requirements and we can be extremely competitive with our prices and will usually beat or price match internet prices from one source.

Can you install the furniture?

Yes, if required we take all the stress out of the process for you. We work alongside all the relevant carefully selected trades persons, and our surveyors will oversee the installation of your kitchen. We will also supply only if required.

How long does it take for installation?

Installation time is dependent on the size of the kitchen and the level of building work. In general we say that installation takes 1-2 weeks.

What are your payment terms?

We ask for a 25% deposit at order, with the furniture supply balance payable on delivery or prior and the installation fee is payable on completion. We do however have finance options available, click here to see all payment options.

Is there a guarantee that comes with your kitchens?

All of our kitchen cabinets come with a lifetime guarantee and all other products supplied are guaranteed by their specific manufacturers.

Bedroom FAQ’s

Why should I get fitted wardrobes?

A fitted wardrobe is bespoke to your bedroom. The design is made to measure to your specific needs and requirements. A fitted bedroom is also great for making really good use of unusual shaped rooms utilising every inch possible, so all those “nooks and crannies” can be made into useful storage space. There are many options to customise the interior of your wardrobes, whether its storage, drawers or hanging space, you can add lighting and mirrors. The options are endless and can be discussed with your designer during your home visit.

Why would I get sliding doors?

Sliding doors make the best use of space. If you are limited to space for opening doors or partitioning off, then sliders can be an ideal option.

Do you fit from floor to ceiling?

Yes, but this will depend on your design preferences and ceiling height.

Do you install the furniture?

Here at Fineline, we take all the stress out of the process for you and understand the problems that dealing with multiple suppliers can bring. As such, we have a team of Fineline bedroom fitters who will oversee the installation of your bedroom.

How long does it take for installation?

Installation time varies per project, it is very much dependent on the size of the project and the technical fit requirements of the bedroom. We usually say installation of a small bedroom takes between 1-2 days and a larger bedroom 2-4 days.

Can we decorate the room before the installation?

It’s important that the room is decorated after installation as the fitters are handling cumbersome materials that could catch the walls. It’s also essential that we fit the wardrobes on a flat surface to avoid any movement in the future, which can happen when fitted on-top of carpets.
