What is a cabin bed?
Cabin beds are raised beds that have storage space underneath where personal items can be neatly put away.
Who are cabin beds suitable for?
They are perfect for children, who love the adventure of climbing up into a raised bed, and are particularly beneficial when space is tight, even in the master bedroom.
What storage can I have underneath my cabin bed?
Drawers, shelving and cupboards are all suitable storage solutions. They are great for neatly tiding away toys, bedding, books, towels, shoes or even clothing.
Am I limited to any particular finishes?
Like all of our fitted furniture, cabin beds are bespoke, so the style and colours are all discussed during your consultation with one of our expert designers. We go carefully through each detail, so the completed room will be a combination of colour and style created uniquely for you, with your personality, preferences and tastes in mind.
Will a cabin bed take up more room than a normal bed?
No – the fact that much of the storage is under the bed leaves more floor space (and in a child’s case, more room for play and sleepovers.) Cabin beds are particularly useful in rooms that struggle to fit a normal single divan, like those built over a staircase.
Can other furniture be colour co-ordinated to the bed?
Yes, our designers will happily create whatever look you want. We can incorporate wardrobes, dressing tables, shelving and desks into the bedroom or whatever furniture suits your needs. A popular option for teens (and grown up teens), is a built in media centre at the end of the bed.
Do you supply the mattress?
No, but as the bed is bespoke, we manufacture the bed to fit any size mattress.
